How to Prevent Auto Shut-Off in Art Mode on Your Samsung The Frame TV by Adjusting Night Mode

You've added a stunning TV bezel and curated your digital art collection, excited to showcase stunning pieces on your Samsung The Frame TV. But then, the screen goes dark. Silence. Your artwork vanishes unexpectedly, leaving you wondering what went wrong.

If this scenario sounds familiar, you're likely encountering the auto shut-off feature in Art Mode, which happens especially in dimmer lighting. While designed to be smart and energy-conscious, sometimes it can feel a little too smart, interrupting the harmony you've created. The culprit is likely the Night Mode

Samsung's Night Mode is designed to detect ambient light and automatically turn off the screen in dark environments. The sensors integrated in your TV work independently of the physical frame surrounding your TV. Therefore, whether you have the standard magnetic bezel or a custom wooden frame, the TV will still attempt to activate Night Mode based on the room's illumination.

The solution to preventing those unwanted black screens remains within the TV's settings.

Preventing Auto Shut-Off by Adjusting Night Mode settings

There are two ways to prevent your TV screen from turning off unexpectedly:

1. Turning off Night Mode by following these simple steps:

  1. Navigate to Art Mode Home Screen on your TV to access Art Mode settings (press the Return button if art is displayed, or alternatively go to the Art Mode app from your main menu).

  2. To disable Night Mode, scroll to Art Mode Options on the Art Mode home screen and select Night Mode. Press Enter on the remote to toggle it off.

Tip: After adjusting Night Mode, test your TV by displaying artwork or photos in Art Mode and adjust the lighting in your room.

2. Set a Schedule for Night Mode

To prevent Art Mode from automatically turning off after a period of inactivity, adjust the "Sleep After" setting. Located in Art Mode Options, this feature allows you to set a timeout (between 5 minutes and 4 hours) before the display goes dark if no motion is detected. Tap the "Sleep After" icon to select a longer viewing duration.

Keep in mind! Make sure your TV's software is up to date. Samsung often releases updates that address bugs and improve performance, which could include issues related to Art Mode and power management. Go to Settings > Support > Software Update and check for any available updates.

By adjusting Night Mode settings, you can enjoy your TV in Art Mode without interruption and automatic shut-offs. Let your wooden frame enhance your living space without compromising functionality!
