Frames has a traditional pure soap finish used in Denmark, soap has a low sheen, in-the-grain finish has a muted beauty quality that enhances the natural look of wood. This smooth to touch, light finish is ideal for lighter-toned woods like white oak, baltic birch and beech. A soap flake finish won’t take abuse like varnish or epoxy, but it’s simple to renew. It is nothing more than soap flakes and water, so it’s as environmentally friendly a wood finish as you’ll find— zero VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

SPECIFICATIONS:

★ Solid Hardwood
★ Molding width: 1/2 inches (14 mm).
★ Frame will hold up to 1/8 inches (4mm) thick artwork
★ Covered with an environmentally friendly Soap flake finish
★ Acrylic Glass 2mm
★ Backing from Acid Free foam board which will protect artwork from bleaching out.
★ For jointing I use special v-nails + glue to achieve strong and durable frame joints.
★ Choose the size you need in the dropdown menu. For example, 8x10" Frame holds 8x10"picture. The frame opening (visible area) will be slightly smaller (approx. 0.25 inches) to allow for the frame edge overlap.
