FAQs

What Are Our Picture Frames Made Of?

All of our picture frame moldings are handcrafted in our woodshop with a strong focus on quality and craftsmanship. We use a variety of premium wood species including Oak, Walnut, Birch, Padauk, Sapele, Beechwood, and others to create distinctive frames that stand out. Additionally, we incorporate Baltic Birch plywood in some designs to offer unique visual styles.

What Type of Glass Do We Use?

Our picture frames come fitted with high-quality acrylic glass. Acrylic is a safe, lightweight, and shatter-resistant alternative to traditional glass, offering superior clarity while minimizing the risk of breakage during handling or shipping.

Sizing Details

Frame sizes refer to the dimensions of the picture or artwork you plan to insert. For example, an 8x8" frame is designed to fit an 8x8" photo or artwork. The visible glass opening, however, will be slightly smaller (approximately 7.5x7.5") to ensure a proper fit and secure display.

If you need a specific opening size, please feel free to message us. Alternatively, you can order the closest larger frame size and include your desired opening dimensions in the order notes—we'll custom-adjust the frame accordingly.

Finishing

We use only ecological, environmentally friendly finishing products with zero VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Our colored frames are first treated with wood stain or linseed oil-based color. All frames receive a final coating of pure linseed oil, which enhances the natural beauty and grain of the wood, giving each frame a unique and elegant finish.

Our Production Process

Our frames are not mass-produced using cheap, low-quality materials. Each frame is a premium, handmade product crafted with care. We use a proprietary joining technique to create exceptionally strong and precise corner joints - something not achievable through standard mass production methods. These frames add real artistic and material value to any artwork or photograph.
